About Our Alum

Nicole honors her mother during her graduation from Monmouth University.

Nicole Gravish graduated Summa Cum Laude from Monmouth University in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Studies and immediately began working as an Administrative Service Coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center in New York City. With the opening of the MSK Monmouth site in Middletown, NJ, Nicole began serving as a Clinic Coordinator. In June 2017, Nicole graduated with a Master’s in Health Administration from Drexel University and, after 3 ½ years at MSK, she became a Patient Access Manager at Summit Health Management.

Nicole partnered with her employer, Adult Medical Oncology/Hematology Group, as part of her Professional Seminar (HE 485) placement.

Nicole said, “My Monmouth experience greatly influenced my career and personal life. Monmouth provided me with the personalized education, professional experience, and job search skills needed to gain meaningful employment at my organization of choice. The course that I liked the most was First Year Seminar ‘Animals’ because it deepened my connection with animals through volunteer work at the Monmouth County SPCA.”

After taking Dr. Hirschler’s First Year Seminar ‘Animals’, Nicole served as the Peer Learning Assistant for the course. Dr. Hirschler said, “Nicole took Professional Seminar with me her senior year. During that semester, I was thrilled to learn that Nicole secured her dream job and her experience at the MCSPCA was a central point of discussion during her job interview.”

In addition to her passion for oncology, Nicole has a love for animals and enjoys spending time at the beach.
