As a compassionate mental health professional, you can make a world of difference in the lives of others and create a meaningful life for yourself.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monmouth University offers a CACREP-accredited master of science in clinical mental health counseling. Our program fulfills the educational requirements for the National Counselor Examination (NCE), as well as for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.njconsumeraffairs.gov\/pc\/Pages\/default.aspx\">New Jersey state licensure<\/a> as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). If you choose the alcohol and drug specialty, you also meet the New Jersey educational requirements for the Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed for working adults, our MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling offers late-afternoon and evening courses at the Monmouth University Graduate Center in West Long Branch, just two miles from our main campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"career-outcomes\"><strong>Career Outcomes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Clinical mental health counseling jobs are in high demand. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field is expected to grow 19% through 2032, which is much faster than the average occupation. In its 100 Best Jobs in America list for 2025,<em> <\/em>U.S. News &amp; World Report ranks substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselor at No. 14. Joanne Jodry, Ed.D., D.M.H., created the course as a means for students to expand their understanding of multicultural differences and enhance their multicultural competence, as they experience dozens of spiritually enlightening sites in Indian history and culture. Throughout the trip, students spend time at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/onelife2love.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">One Life to Love<\/a>, a nonprofit organization and orphanage that provides resources such as education, nutrition, and health care for children with mental and physical disabilities in New Delhi, India.
