The Program in Gender and Intersectionality Studies Program at Monmouth University critically investigates gendered power relations in all fields of social life, popular culture, and the arts through exciting course offerings and relevant campus events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We support the rigorous examination of the social construction of gender in various cultural and historical contexts and encourage students to become keen analysts of how gender inequalities in a range of domains intersect with other structures of advantage and disadvantage, such as race, class, nation, and sexuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In so doing, we aim to equip all students with critical thinking skills essential to effectively bringing about positive changes in a world deeply impacted by gender injustice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program in Gender and Intersectionality Studies Bylaws are available by request of the Gender and Intersectionality Studies director. Faculty members wishing to become a member of PGIS\u00a0should email\u00a0the Gender and Intersectionality Studies Director Amanda Stojanov.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
