Parent borrowers are able to do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>request a Direct PLUS Loan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>change the amount of a Direct PLUS Loan you previously requested;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>authorize how the school may use your Direct PLUS Loan funds to pay for educational expenses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>designate who the school pays any credit balance to; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>request deferment of repayment while the student is in school and for up to 6 months after.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> In addition to the application, borrowers will need to complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/mpn\/\">Master Promissory Note (MPN)<\/a>.
