Undergraduate Nursing Certificate Scholarship

This award is given to all students who complete an AAS degree in Nursing at a New Jersey community college, who hold RN licensure, and who continue in either the RN to BSN or RN to MSN program at Monmouth. To qualify, students must have earned at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA for their Associate’s Degree coursework and not have previously completed a bachelor’s degree.  There is no separate application process for the scholarship, as students’ eligibility for the award will automatically be reviewed by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

The award is valued at $3,500 annually for full-time students (12 or more credits) and $1,750 annually for part-time students taking 6 – 11 credits.  The scholarship may be combined with other federal, state, or institutional awards and employer reimbursement to which the student might otherwise be entitled, but the combination of all such awards cannot exceed tuition and fee charges assessed to the student’s account.  The award may be renewed for the duration of the student’s enrollment in the Undergraduate Nursing Certificate program, provided the student maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00; the award cannot be applied to coursework outside the curriculum for the undergraduate certificate program.
