The Franchise Education and Research Foundation and the Stewart and Jane Bainum Fund of the Community Foundation have partnered to sponsor this scholarship award. A competitive one-time award will be presented annually. Additionally, the individual selected will receive a travel stipend (up to $1500) to attend the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) Annual Convention and participate in NextGen in Franchising programming.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this one-time award, applicant must: (1) be enrolled in an U.S. accredited college or university with studies in business, hospitality or franchise management, (2) have sophomore, junior or senior college class standing for the period of the scholarship and (3) be a U.S. citizen.
How Can the Awards Be Used?
The award is to be used for tuition, books and applicable academic fees.
How Do You Get Started?
Students must complete the Franchise Education and Research Foundation Scholarship application form, submit an official academic transcript and prepare a short typed essay (no more than 500-words) on “Why a College Education in Still Relevant.” Incomplete packages will not be reviewed.
