{"id":40802493831,"date":"2025-05-12T10:35:55","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T14:35:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/events\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=40802493831"},"modified":"2025-05-12T10:35:55","modified_gmt":"2025-05-12T14:35:55","slug":"introduction-to-radiology-imaging-modalities","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/events\/event\/introduction-to-radiology-imaging-modalities\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction to Radiology &amp; Imaging Modalities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This activity is designed to enhance the knowledge of Advanced Practice Nurses or Allied Health Professionals in radiology and introduction to imaging modalities.\u00a0A focus will be on a systematic approach to reading chest x-rays and orthopedic films.<\/p>\n<p>Program content will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic radiographic principles and techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Identification of common radiographic findings.<\/li>\n<li>Integration of radiographic findings with clinical presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Differentiation between normal and abnormal radiographs.<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to other imaging modalities including Ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desired Learning Outcome:\u00a0Healthcare providers will learn skills and techniques in radiographic interpretation and apply them to practice in the clinical setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact Hours:<\/strong>\u00a0For nurses\u00a03.0 contact hours will be provided \u2013 a certificate of completion will be provided for all other allied health professionals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenter:<\/strong> James Fries, MS, PA-C \u2013\u00a0Specialist Professor, Graduate Faculty &#8211; Marjorie K. Unterberg School of Nursing and Health Studies.
