This will be the first year that this exciting, free film festival will be shared with Monmouth University\u2019s audience.<\/p>\n<p>Films screened during the event include <strong>SOLD <\/strong>&#8211; a narrative, feature film adaptation of the globally acclaimed novel by Patricia McCormick. Based on true stories, <strong>SOLD<\/strong>, is the story of Lakshmi who journeys<br \/>\nfrom a pastoral, rural village in Nepal to a gritty brothel\/prison<br \/>\ncalled Happiness House in Kolkata, India.\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOLD<\/strong> is directed by Academy and Emmy award-winner, Jeffrey D. Brown,<br \/>\nExecutive Produced by two time Academy Award winner, Emma Thompson,<br \/>\nProduced by Jane Charles, Co-Produced by Katie Mustard and Written by<br \/>\nJoseph Kwong and Jeffrey D.
