SUMMARY:Pediatric Physical Assessment
DESCRIPTION:Fee: $95 (a light dinner is included in the program fee)\nThis program will provide 5 contact hours for nurses. \nThe course is designed to enhance the physical assessment skills of the healthcare provider who cares for the school age child. A step-by-step process for physical exam will be reviewed. Using images and a case study format\, participants are guided to describe and identify physical findings. Clinical guidelines and standards of care are incorporated throughout. \nDesired Learning Outcomes: at completion of this program participants will apply the clinical knowledge gained in the assessment and care of the school age child. \nTopics will include: \n\nAn overview of normal and abnormal findings in health screenings\nCommon pediatric disease and disorders\nThe process & procedure for the assessment of the ear including demonstration of the otoscope\nVaccine preventable disease update\n\nPresenter: Steve Miller\, DO – Pediatrician with Navesink Pediatrics – Affiliate Clinical Faculty/ Monmouth University\, The Marjorie K.
