DESCRIPTION:We have decided to continue with Record Club in virtual format using the ZOOM app. When you register you will be provided the meeting link to join the conversation. CLICK HERE for more information on how to use zoom \nIt’s just like book club but with albums! With new advances in technology\, the way we consume music through our devices\, apps and on demand streaming services like Pandora\, Spotify and iTunes is making the idea of the “album” as an art form extinct. Get together with other music enthusiasts on Tuesday nights to discuss some of the greatest records of all-time! Listen to the album beforehand and then come prepared to discuss. This event will feature The Beatles’ Revolver \nFree and open to the public\, but registration is required.

SUMMARY:"A Monument to Fallen Royalty": Rediscovering Joseph Bonapartes Point Breeze Estate in Bordentown\, New Jersey
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Monmouth University Associate Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences\, Richard F. Veit\, Ph.D. \nRecent archaeological excavations in Bordentown\, New Jersey have unearthed the remains of Joseph Bonaparte’s palatial estate\, Point Breeze.   Joseph\, the elder brother of Napoleon Bonaparte and former King of Spain and Naples\, fled to the United States in 1815.  He lived in New Jersey from 1816 until 1839.  During this period he built two palatial homes\, laid out a 1900-acre picturesque landscape\, and acted as an unofficial cultural attaché.  His home was a center for French refugees in America.  His library and art collections were the largest in country.
