DESCRIPTION:Life\, Death\, Life Again: Children Sentenced to Die in Prison is a verbatim theater piece by Elizabeth Weill-Greenberg\, that shares the stories of four people sentenced to die in prison for violent crimes committed as children\, and a victim’s grandson who chose to lead with forgiveness. Each performance will be followed by a facilitated discussion on the themes discussed in the play – radical forgiveness and how we can create a more humane criminal justice system. \nFeaturing: Turron Kofi Alleyne\, June Ballinger\, Shavonna Banks\, LaChrisha Brown\, Brian O’Neill\, David Seamon \nThis performance is presented by coLAB Arts\, and supported by The MU Center for the Arts with the Department of Political Science and Sociology\, Department of Criminal Justice\, and the School of Social Work at Monmouth University. \n*Social Work CEUs – Approved and provided by the Monmouth University School of Social Work in accordance with New Jersey Administrative Code 13:44G and recognized by the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners. \nThis event is free\, but registration is required (except for Monmouth University students going as part of a class).

DESCRIPTION:Respected by the millions of fans who are drawn to her music and undeniable talent\, Wynonna’s rich and commanding voice has sold over 30-million albums worldwide spanning her remarkable 34-year career. As one-half of the legendary mother/daughter duo “The Judds\,” Wynonna was once dubbed by Rolling Stone as “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline.” This iconic performer has received over 60 industry awards\, with countless charting singles\, including 20 No.1 hits such as “Mama He’s Crazy\,” “Why Not me\,” and “Grandpa\, (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Ole Days).” \nWynonna and her band The Big Noise\, led by her husband/drummer/producer\, Cactus Moser\, released their debut full-length album in February 2016 via Curb Records to critical acclaim. Wynonna has described the new sound as “vintage yet modern” and a “return to the well.” It’s a rootsy work encompassing country\, Americana\, blues\, soul and rock.
