About

Professor Clearwaters has worked within the field of education for over 20 years within New York City, New York State, New Jersey, and Boston, Massachusetts. She has an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Boston College, a Master of Science degree in TESOL from Fordham University, a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Personnel Services also from Fordham University, a Reading Recovery designation from New York University, and a Director of Counseling Services designation from Georgian Court University. She has lived and studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain, and has traveled extensively over the years. She has experience working as an ESL teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher, Teacher of Alternative Education, School Counselor, and Director of School Counseling Services. She also holds a Licensed Associate Counselor designation. She currently owns a business for educational program consulting, and counseling and mental health/wellness services. She is also a board member for the non-profit organization Root to Rise in Asbury Park, who assist community members to embrace sober living through physical expression. Professor Clearwaters is an avid runner, has completed 6 full marathons, and practices yoga regularly. She is a firm believer of the positive impact that physical movement and mindfulness has not only on the brain, but also throughout the entire body.
