Alan Schwerin is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of South Africa. He received his M.A. in the Philosophy of Science from Rhodes University and his doctorate from Rice University. His research interests include investigations of David Hume’s philosophy of mind and Bertrand Russell’s epistemology. He has served on the board of the Northeastern Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and served as the president of The Bertrand Russell Society for fifteen years.
