Michael Teehan graduated from Mercy College with a MS in Physician Assistant Studies in 2017. Since then he has completed 6 months of post graduate residency at NYU Winthrop Hospital in the cardiothoracic and neurosurgical intensive care units and operating rooms. He is an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Michael Teehan taught medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students during his residency at NYU and currently teaches them at CMMC. He loves to teach and has always wanted to pursue an academic career. Professor Teehan teaches Health in Developing Countries (HE 375) at Monmouth University.
Michael enjoys volunteering his time and is looking forward to his next medical mission trip. His last medical trip was a 9-day trip to Ghana, Africa. Michael and the team provided care for over 1,000 patients in the villages of Ekrawful, Immuna, and Nanaben. He fell in love with providing education and medical care to individuals in underserved communities.
