Colleen Beach is a licensed social worker and Specialist Professor in the School of Social Work. She specializes in elder justice and community living options for older adults, and is passionate about trauma informed care. Her experience includes over 15 years in healthcare settings serving primarily older or vulnerable adults, including settings such as adult medical day care, hospice, and sub-acute and rehabilitation facilities. For several years, she managed the training grant for Adult Protective Services in the state of New Jersey, through her position as a faculty member at the School of Social Work, at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She is currently a member of the National Adult Protective Services Association Education Committee, and is on the trauma-informed care work group for the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services
