The Political Science Club is open to all students with an interest in political science<\/strong>. The Political Science Club has won a number of campus student organization awards for raising political awareness on campus by organizing voter registration drives that seek to register every Monmouth student to vote.\u00a0 The Club was recently recognized by the Governor of New Jersey by coming in first place in New Jersey\u2019s \u201cBallot Bowl\u201d, an award given to the New Jersey colleges\/university that best promotes voting on campus. The Club also hosts political speakers on campus and regularly brings people from all political stripes together by hosting \u201cPoli-Teas\u201d where faculty and students discuss important political and social events in a friendly and relaxed environment.\u00a0 The Club also hosts an annual trip to Washington, D.C. to help prepare students interested in participating in the Washington Semester during their senior years.\u00a0 Joining the Political Science Club is a great way to make new friends and help elevate political discourse on campus.\u00a0 Please contact Dr. Joseph Patten at jpatten@monmouth.edu<\/a> if you would like additional information about the Political Science Club.<\/p>\n

Political Science Club
\n The Political Science Club is open to all students with an interest in political science. This dynamic organization was recently recognized as Monmouth University’s Most Outstanding Organization.
\n The club seeks to raise political awareness and energizes the campus community to register and vote in national and local elections. It is active in sponsoring political debates, policy forums, and Rock the Vote campaigns, and has co-sponsored an undergraduate political science conference. It has also established a debate team and routinely debates students from other universities on the major issues of our time. In addition, the club sponsors a trip to Washington, D.C., each spring semester and is widely recognized as an organization that knows how to affect positive change on campus and in our larger community.
