(Jan 2021 to present)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nathan Associates<\/strong> is a financial consulting firm with over 75 years of experience in the international development field. Nathan is one of the world\u2019s first economic consulting firms (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nathaninc.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.nathaninc.com<\/a>). All of the PS department clubs increased my social capital and provided me a platform to interact with my peers. Model UN enhanced my understanding of diplomacy and the global system. Not only did it develop my analytical and problem-solving skills (assigned a country and UN agency), I developed my research skills and became a better public speaker having to represent my assigned country in front of 50+ people at international conferences (London, Oxford and Zurich). Model UN afforded me the ability to travel internationally and learn from diverse points of view ultimately strengthening my resume. I believe Model UN, as well as my participation in Debate and the Political Science Club, greatly contributed to my acceptance to the London School of Economics (LSE).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you offer current Political Science Majors?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think the key to success is to work hard and get involved! Working hard never goes unnoticed. Faculty notice and it serves as a win-win for you, for them, and your peers. Working hard and caring about the subject matter will lead you to a more fruitful college experience! Getting involved in clubs, committees, groups, etc., like the ones in the PS Department will expand your comfort zone and your network. Building relationships with colleagues and staff through your involvement in extracurriculars is a way of showcasing your strengths outside the classroom.
