Monmouth Political Science Alum Jackson Pope (\u201919) recently accepted a seat at the University of Richmond Law School. Jackson graduated from Monmouth in four years with a 3.65 GPA, served as President of the Political Science Club, and was an active member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honors Society. He competed at multiple \u201cmock trial\u201d contests with the pre-law club and at several Model United Nations conferences, including contests at Washington D.C. and Harvard as well as London and Oxford in the United Kingdom, where he won individual and team awards.<\/p>\n<\/div>

During his senior year, Jackson participated in The Washington Center program, the semester-long program in Washington D.C., where he interned at the Peace Corps (Due Diligence Intern) and took classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After graduation, Jackson pursued graduate school at the highly competitive Kings College London (KCL), completing a Master of Arts in Conflict, Security, and Development, a one-year interdisciplinary master program that involved the writing of a final thesis. KCL is a highly ranked institution globally and attracts students from around the world to its campus in central London. After KCL, Jackson worked in 2020-2021 for the Democratic Party in Virginia, part of the New Virginia Majority group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University of Richmond Law School<\/em> is ranked #52 nationally according to the latest US News & World Report, tied with Pepperdine Law (CA) and ahead of Tulane University Law, Villanova University Law (#56), Penn State Law, Temple University Law (#63), American University in DC, and Seton Hall (#73). Jackson earned a 4\/5th scholarship or $40,000 off the $50,000 tuition bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
