{"id":507,"date":"2022-06-06T14:02:33","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T18:02:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/department-of-curriculum-and-instruction\/?page_id=507"},"modified":"2025-09-10T15:47:47","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T19:47:47","slug":"ba-anthropology-and-education-endorsement-in-p3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/department-of-curriculum-and-instruction\/programs-of-study\/ba-anthropology-and-education-endorsement-in-p3\/","title":{"rendered":"B.A. in Anthropology and Education with Endorsements in P-3"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about-the-program\">About the Program<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The Anthropology and Education with an Endorsement in P-3 program prepares students for successful careers in early childhood education with a broad understanding of the scientific study of humanity.<br><br>Students will explore three areas of anthropology: cultural, biological, and archaeology, and can put their knowledge to practice with real-time experiences inside the classroom.<br><br>Students will learn how to navigate the needs of young children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and young children with disabilities and be presented with a wide range of opportunities such as: teaching in a resource room, self-contained setting, or a general education inclusive classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"core-courses\">Core Courses<\/h3>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cultural Anthropology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to Biological Anthropology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Psychological and Philosophical Foundations of Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction to Early Childhood Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classroom Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-in-page\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/catalog.monmouth.edu\/undergraduate-catalog\/education\/curriculum-instruction\/anthropology-education-ba-endorsements-p-3-teacher-students-disabilities\/\">View Curriculum &amp; Sequence Charts<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"student-outcomes\">Student Outcomes<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Our students have gone on to have successful careers in education with the assistance of Monmouth University&#8217;s extensive network of local school and district partnerships.
