Undergraduate majors may choose from one of three concentrations: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communication, Culture, and Leadership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Journalism, Public Relations, and Sports Communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Media, Content Creation, and Sports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the contemporary professional world, communication specialists are expected to demonstrate competence that draws from all three concentrations. Thus, students are encouraged to broaden their academic experience with carefully selected courses across all three areas. Our program prepares students to become competent writers, speakers, producers, critical thinkers and problem-solvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Communication programs provide a blend of academic and career-oriented studies in-class and at internships. Experienced faculty provide students with the skills and confidence they need for today\u2019s competitive job market. Many of our communication courses are taught by working professionals, who bring their rich&nbsp;experiences and expertise into classrooms, labs, studios and student-run organizations. Our student-run organizations also provide an ideal environment for taking media production, performance, journalism, public relations campaigns and related pursuits to the next level.
