Our organizations are open to students beginning in their freshman year and include students in all years of their education\u2014including graduate students. We often have students who participate in multiple organizations because they see the value in how those experiences connect with their professional and personal goals.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-outlook\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/department-of-communication\/student-organizations\/the-outlook\/\">The Outlook<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/outlook.monmouth.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Outlook<\/em><\/a> has been the student-run newspaper of Monmouth University since 1933. Published weekly and open to all MU students, the paper covers all news, sports, entertainment, and opinions on campus, and has received national awards from Columbia University for news coverage and layout. Staff meetings are held every Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the <em>Outlook<\/em> office in the Plangere Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Location: Plangere Center, Room 240<br>Contact: Marina Vujnovic<br>Phone: <a href=\"tel:(732) 263-5667\">732-263-5667<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"889-wmcx\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/department-of-communication\/student-organizations\/88-9-wmcx\/\">88.9 WMCX<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Located in the Plangere Center, <a title=\"88.9WMCX-FM\" href=\"http:\/\/wmcx.monmouth.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">88.9 WMCX-FM<\/a> is Monmouth&#8217;s student-run radio station, which has 1,000 watts of power and transmits over a 35-mile radius. Music programming includes rock n&#8217; roll, alternative, hip hop, metal, reggae, dance, soul, and R&amp;B. Hawk TV\u2019s purpose is to provide a medium that encourages and promotes responsible, creative broadcasting in order to foster the advancement of television, video,\u00a0and film education at Monmouth University. Members <\/span>work on projects to imagine and build worlds yet-to-be. The club is proud to announce an active roster of over 100 students of all grade levels and over 15 different majors.
