With an array of undergraduate degree options<\/a>, students in the Department of Chemistry and Physics are able to pursue a broad spectrum of careers. Students often find employment in the pharmaceutical, specialty, and analytical chemical industries or as forensic scientists, and they are also well-qualified to move on to graduate or medical school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While enrolled in the department, students not only explore the core concepts in the physical sciences, but they also have opportunities to engage in internships and research with the department’s faculty<\/a>. The full-time faculty members, all of whom hold doctoral degrees, have a wide range of interests; by collaborating with students, they provide them with valuable, hands-on experience and career preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
