We foster an inclusive and challenging environment with a focus on active learning and problem-solving that allows students to see the power of thinking both logically and creatively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our degree programs and minors cater to diverse interests and career goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mathematics Major: <\/strong>This traditional program integrates core mathematical subjects with applied courses such as <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.monmouth.edu\/search\/?P=&quot;MA-419&quot;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mathematical Modeling (MA-419)<\/a>, where students gain experience working on real-world problems with real-world clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Statistics Concentration<\/strong>: This program provides students with a foundation in applied mathematics, statistics, and data science, and the opportunity to apply those skills in courses such as <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.monmouth.edu\/search\/?P=&quot;MA-321&quot;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Statistical Consulting (MA-321)<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.monmouth.edu\/search\/?P=&quot;MA-327&quot;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Design and Analysis of Biological Experiments (MA-327)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Math &amp; Education Programs<\/strong> (<strong>Elementary and Secondary<\/strong>): Jointly offered with the School of Education, these programs combine a strong foundation in mathematics with hands-on classroom experience, preparing students for impactful K-12 teaching careers across New Jersey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our students engage in undergraduate research through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/school-of-science\/srp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">School of Science Summer Research Program<\/a>, and secure internships with companies like Barnes &amp; Noble, PepsiCo, and JPMorgan Chase. Our graduates are prepared to pursue advanced degrees at institutions such as Villanova, NJIT, and NC State, or to enter the workforce with employers like the NSA, Prudential, and FanDuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also offer <strong>minors<\/strong> in both <strong>Mathematics <\/strong>and<strong> Statistics<\/strong>, valuable complements to majors like Computer Science, Software
