{"id":667,"date":"2022-06-28T11:22:00","date_gmt":"2022-06-28T15:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/community-garden\/?p=667"},"modified":"2023-04-25T11:29:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-25T15:29:28","slug":"newsletter-june-28-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/community-garden\/2022\/06\/28\/newsletter-june-28-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter: June 28, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lecture in the Garden<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>June 28th<br>Time: 6 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Catherine duckett will explain how we can be part of the solution of climate change<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"updates\">Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>July 2nd work group a + potluck when: 9 to 11 am<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Empty out first compost bin and use to fill 9a.O mix compost into soil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plant winter squash in bed 9a<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn middle compost bin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prune tomato plants from the bottom to allow more circulation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weed and mulch communal pathways and beds. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alert! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaky hose at post 15, taped hose, and ot bed hose. Will be looking into taking care of the situation. Thank you for understanding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remember<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign in and write down what volunteer tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drain hoses after use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Irrigation system is used for all communal beds except 13 and 15.
