There will be three ceremonies throughout the day\u201410 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. At this time, we do not know which schools will attend which ceremonies. As soon as we have this information, we will update the website and notify the graduates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Honor Cords<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Please note<\/em>: If you are a baccalaureate degree recipient graduating with Honors (cumulative GPA 3.50 or higher with at least 53 MU credits) please pick up your honor cord at the check-in table the day of commencement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Honors Designations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cum Laude: 3.50 \u2013 3.64<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magna Cum Laude: 3.65 \u2013 3.84<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summa Cum Laude: 3.85 \u2013 4.00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honor society and non-academic honor cords will be distributed by the advisor for each of the relevant organizations. If you are currently a member of such an organization, you should contact your advisor to determine if and when honor cords will be distributed to the graduating members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Graduate students are not eligible for honor cords unless provided by their specific academic discipline\u2019s honor society.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Philanthropy Cords<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Graduating students who make a gift of $5.00 to the Class of 2027 Giving Campaign will receive a philanthropy cord to wear at Commencement. <a href=\"https:\/\/fly.monmouth.edu\/27gift\">Gifts can be made on Monmouth&#8217;s crowdfunding platform,<\/a> and can be designated to scholarships, a favorite academic program, Division I sport, or a club or organization that means the most to you. The Class of 2027 Giving Campaign exists to educate graduating students on the vital need to raise private support, while encouraging them to begin their participation as donors, and helps ensure continued access to a personalized Monmouth education for current and future Hawks.
