These \u201cjob fair\u201d style events provide an excellent opportunity for employers and potential employees to connect. Career Days typically attract hundreds of Monmouth students and alumni, as well as dozens of business, government, and non-profit employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In March, the <strong>Educators\u2019 Career Day <\/strong>brings many New Jersey school districts to campus to meet with future teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are some advantages of attending a Career Day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Opportunity for direct contact with many potential employers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talk with dozens of employers in a few hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relaxed, informal setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some recruiters are University alumni.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tips-for-negotiating-a-job-fair\">Tips for Negotiating a Job Fair<\/h2>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/194\/2018\/03\/CareerServices.jpg\" alt=\"Career Days\" title=\"Career Days\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare to ask questions about specific opportunities of interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inquire about referrals to other contacts if a particular recruiter does not have a position for you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talk to as many contacts as possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep a positive, competitive attitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dress professionally.
