You\u2019ll lead a classroom of residential students, develop engaging lesson plans, assess progress, and create an environment where students feel supported and capable of success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver instruction, grading, and assessment aligned with curriculum standards<\/li>\n<li>Develop lesson plans, assignments, tests, and progress reports<\/li>\n<li>Implement and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and implement classroom behavioral interventions as needed<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and timely academic documentation<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and collaborate with teaching assistants<\/li>\n<li>Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, and professional development<\/li>\n<li>Support school activities, including field trips<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively within the academic and treatment teams<\/li>\n<li>Maintain confidentiality and uphold MPA policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Represent Mount Prospect Academy professionally to families, communities, and partner agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be <strong>21 years of age or older<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bachelor\u2019s Degree required<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>NH DOE certification \/ teaching license<\/strong>\u00a0(K\u20118 or high school content area)<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>2+ years of teaching experience<\/strong>\u00a0in general and\/or special education (middle or high school preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or coursework in Social Studies or related field<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with youth with emotional disturbances, attention challenges, or mental health needs<\/li>\n<li>At least two years of experience working with children or youth (e.g., teaching, coaching, camp counselor, childcare, parenting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>Don\u2019t have NH certification yet?
