A leading cultural institution, RRPFI houses a remarkable 125,000 square foot museum with unique historical pieces that tells the story of Ronald Reagan\u2019s life, presidency, and enduring impact, and houses world-class special exhibitions.\u00a0 More information is available at www.reaganfoundation.org.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With views all the way to the Pacific Ocean and an hour from Los Angeles International Airport, RRPFI\u2019s Simi Valley campus sits on 400 acres atop a hill, serves as the final resting place of America\u2019s 40th President and former First Lady Nancy Reagan, displays a chunk of the Berlin Wall, and houses (among other remarkable displayed hardware) the plane President Reagan flew on as Air Force One to 26 countries. Also onsite are the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, the Air Force One Pavilion, and the Reagan Leadership Academy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ronald Reagan Institute in Washington, DC is seeking an intern for the spring 2027 months who can support diverse projects within various program areas. Interns will have the opportunity to work with a small team in a dynamic professional setting while earning college credit as determined by the intern\u2019s university. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a proactive, can-do attitude. Interns are expected to be agile in their working styles and capable of executing complex projects with efficiency and precision.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We are currently seeking interns to support work in the following capacities\/projects:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support for the following Reagan Institute centers: Center for Peace Through Strength, Center for Freedom and Democracy, Center for Civics, Education, and Opportunity, and Center for Scholarly Initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Administrative and research support for the National Security Innovation Base Summit<\/li>\n<li>Administrative and marketing support for the Academy for Civic Education and Democracy<\/li>\n<li>Support for the Center on Civility and Democracy as needed<\/li>\n<li>Support for social media and other digital strategy initiatives\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide research and administrative assistance for the Reaganism podcast and Rendezvous with History podcast<\/li>\n<li>Refine and organize program-related data with a keen eye for accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and other responsibilities as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Desired skills for RRI Interns include:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of basic research skills\n<ul>\n<li>Both background and policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Data organization and analysis\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>Including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Airtables<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ability to draft professional memorandums and communications<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative spirit and team-minded orientation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be 18 years of age or older and provide evidence of full-time enrollment at a local university<\/li>\n<li>Have experience working in a professional office environment<\/li>\n<li>Exemplify adaptability and proactive mindset<\/li>\n<li>Independently initiate and complete tasks with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Uphold a professional appearance and communication style, both in written and verbal correspondence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Interns will be expected to work approximately 20-30 hours\/week and will be paid $18.40\/hour.
