This is an in-person position.<\/p>\n<p>Schedule &amp; Location<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dates: September 8, 2026 \u2013 January 22, 2027<\/li>\n<li>Class days\/times: Monday\u2013Thursday, 12:30\u20132:30 pm<\/li>\n<li>Location: Chelsea High School &#8211;\u00a0299 Everett Ave, Chelsea, MA 02150<\/li>\n<li>Planning time: ~3 hours\/week for lesson planning (onsite or remote), plus a weekly team check-in (time TBD)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OUR MISSION\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>Digital Ready prepares the next generation of Black and Latinx innovators for high-wage careers in Boston\u2019s rapidly growing innovation economy. Through Digital Ready\u2019s pathways, students earn valuable \u201ccurrency\u201d for the innovation economy\u2014including industry-recognized credentials, college credits, professional digital portfolios, and meaningful relationships with employers, mentors, and industry leaders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OUR VALUES\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We actively fight against the status quo that allows injustices to be perpetuated without accountability;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We use our political power, social capital, and networks to create access to high-quality education opportunities for students;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We value diverse perspectives, which we believe leads to more identity-affirming and innovative learning experiences for students;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We are committed to being an anti-racist organization that prioritizes the voices of students and communities of color;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We intentionally support the redesign of policies and structures of systemic racism that continues to exclude and harm communities of color;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We actively interrogate schools&#8217; curriculum, industries&#8217; hiring practices, and other institutional practices that limit who has access to Boston&#8217;s innovation economy.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As the Clean Energy Lab Manager at Chelsea High School, you will lead hands-on learning experiences that prepare young adults for careers in the Clean Energy industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Across one semester, you will prepare a cohort of 25 young adults for the Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate, an industry-recognized credential focused on the fundamentals of building performance, energy efficiency, and sustainable building practices. The goal is for 90% of participants to successfully earn the BSP Certificate while developing the technical skills, confidence, and career readiness needed to pursue opportunities in energy efficiency, electrification, HVAC, and other high-growth clean energy careers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You will also be responsible for designing and implementing four hands-on projects that reinforce key Building Science Principles and connect learning in the lab to real-world applications. These projects will engage young adults in applied problem-solving, systems thinking, and career exploration. One project will be self-directed, allowing participants to identify an area of interest, develop a solution, and demonstrate their understanding of building performance concepts while exploring potential career pathways within the clean energy industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Create an Inspiring and Inclusive Learning Environment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cultivate a learning environment where every young adult feels a sense of belonging and can envision themselves pursuing a high-wage career in the Clean Energy industry. Through authentic industry experiences, rigorous technical learning, and meaningful relationships, inspire participants to see themselves as the next generation of clean energy leaders + innovators.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence, persistence, and a growth mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Create an inclusive lab culture where all young adults are challenged, supported, and encouraged to take intellectual risks.<\/li>\n<li>Integrate career-connected learning experiences throughout the semester, including industry site visits, guest speakers, career conversations, and employer engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Design learning experiences that reflect the diversity of Boston&#8217;s Clean Energy workforce and expose participants to multiple career pathways.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the Success &amp; Belonging Team to identify and address barriers that may impact participant engagement, attendance, or success.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Deliver Rigorous, Project-Based Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead engaging, hands-on instruction that prepares young adults to earn the Building Science Principles (BSP) Certificate while developing the technical and professional skills needed for careers in the clean energy industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan and facilitate high-quality instruction aligned to the Building Science Principles curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement four industry-connected technical projects that reinforce BSP concepts and authentic workplace skills, including one self-directed project driven by participant interests.<\/li>\n<li>Create opportunities for participants to apply building science concepts through real-world challenges, design thinking, and problem solving.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure every participant develops a professional digital portfolio showcasing technical projects, certifications, reflections, and career-ready artifacts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide ongoing coaching and feedback on technical competencies, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor participant progress and implement targeted interventions to support success.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaborate to Deliver High-Quality Work-Based Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work collaboratively with the Digital Ready and Chelsea Public School teams and employer partners to design and continuously improve learning experiences that reflect the Jobs for the Future (JFF) Indicators of High-Quality Work-Based Learning, ensuring participants develop the technical, professional, and durable skills required for success in Boston&#8217;s growing clean energy economy.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with Teaching &amp;
