Join our team as a Registered Dietitian at Yakima Medical-Dental Clinic in Yakima, WA!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Registered Dietitian Nutritionists in our medical clinics work closely with medical and mental health providers to support the nutritional needs of primary care patients of all ages, offering counseling for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight management, digestive issues, and food allergies, as well as preventative education, including Well Child Checks, prenatal counseling, and healthy family guidance. Using a motivational interviewing approach, they tailor nutrition interventions to each individual\u2019s lifestyle in a supportive, judgment\u2011free environment. Our Primary Care RDNs are easily accessible for warm handoffs, proactively identify patients through reports and registries, and provide same\u2011day, no\u2011cost access for all patients established at our clinics.<\/p>\n

Position Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)<\/p>\n

Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours worked<\/p>\n

$31.20-$38.22\/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates<\/p>\n

$4,250.00 Hiring\/Retention Bonus Structure:<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Hire: $1,275.00<\/p>\n

At 180 days (6 months): $1,700.00<\/p>\n

At 12 months: $1,275.00<\/p>\n

What You\u2019ll Do:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including anthropometric and lab review, nutrition history, and identification of drug\u2013nutrient interactions<\/p>\n

Use motivational interviewing to create individualized nutrition goals, considering cultural factors and social determinants that shape eating behaviors<\/p>\n

Provide evidence\u2011based nutrition care for a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, GI disorders, cancer, food allergies, and obesity<\/p>\n

Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure patients receive coordinated, high\u2011quality nutrition support through both individual visits and group education<\/p>\n

Precept dietetic interns and students, develop training materials, and mentor clinical staff to support learning and professional development<\/p>\n

Support compliance with organizational procedures, FQHC quality metrics, WIC requirements, and clinical standards such as TJC and HRSA<\/p>\n

Stay connected to community demographics and resources, linking patients to supportive services and participating in outreach that raises awareness of clinic programs<\/p>\n

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, actively engage in care\u2011team meetings, and contribute to other clinic needs as assigned<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Master\u2019s Degree in Dietetics from a U.S. regionally accredited college, university, or foreign equivalent for new graduates after January 2024. Dietitians credentialed prior to Jan 2024 are allowed to be grandfathered in with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree<\/p>\n

Completion of ACEND\u2011accredited didactic program in dietetics<\/p>\n

Registered Dietitian Nutrition registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration<\/p>\n

Washington State Certified Dietitian credential (application must be submitted prior to start date)<\/p>\n

Bilingual (English\/Spanish) preferred at a level 9<\/p>\n

One year of experience in a clinic, primary care, outpatient, or community setting is preferred<\/p>\n
