on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range<\/i>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours:<\/strong>\u00a0Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Gordon Family YMCA, Sumner, WA<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a Performing Arts Instructor, you will be responsible for providing leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in performing arts while ensuring a quality experience to students and parents<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).<\/li>\n<li>Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.<\/li>\n<li>Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.<\/li>\n<li>You have 5 years of formal training in performing arts or comparable experience.<\/li>\n<li>You have 1-2 years of experience as a teacher and\/or teaching assistant.<\/li>\n<li>You are able to instruct beginning and intermediate level classes.<\/li>\n<li>You are excited to teach classes for ages preschool through adult.<\/li>\n<li>You have a positive attitude and previous experience with varying ages and diverse populations.<\/li>\n<li>You firmly believe that the arts should be open to everyone regardless of artistic ability, experience, or financial circumstance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow\/Implement our Association Quality Standards and 9 Dimensions of Well Being into Youth Programming and Staff Development.<\/li>\n<li>Create class lesson plans with a natural progression that relate to the abilities and ages of the classes being taught as well as reflect YMCA core values.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all program materials and content are developmentally appropriate and reflect the YMCA mission, values, and service to the community.<\/li>\n<li>Provide lesson plans, supply list, and budget to Arts Director as requested.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in performances, Y Arts Week events and other YMCA events as assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate program information and student progress as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All
