Kidz Korner provides recreational and social opportunities in group settings, and offers engaging activities in a supportive environment. Kidz Korner is designed to support the development of hobbies, social outcomes, and new interests. The After-School Program Aide assists the Program Lead to ensure safe and appropriate services are delivered and supervises youth enrolled in the program.<\/p>\n<p>This is an on-site recreation program located in <strong>Toms River, Ocean County<\/strong>, serving youth with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Aide will support the recreational and social goals of participants through fun and engaging activities and games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part Time:<\/strong> July 7th \u2013 August 7th, Monday \u2013 Thursday, 11:30am \u2013 5:30pm<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that all work is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to families and individuals with developmental disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Assists the Program Lead with care and supervision of Kidz Korner participants.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the program\u2019s wide array of indoor and outdoor activities including arts, crafts, games, music, dance and educational projects, and group activities.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in ensuring the comfort, health safety, and well-being of all program participants.<\/li>\n<li>Is attentive, flexible, and supportive of youth enrolled in program.<\/li>\n<li>Encourages and models social behavior and appropriate self-expression.<\/li>\n<li>Provides input at staff or family meetings and as needed discussing participant wellbeing, behaviors, and program quality.<\/li>\n<li>Based on need, may be required to travel to other after-school program locations to fill in if short staffed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains CPR\/First Aid certification (every two years) and Handle with Care annually.<\/li>\n<li>Completes 6 professional development hours annually.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_ch_employer_id":"17714","_ch_external_id":"11387852","_ch_location_state":"","_ch_location_city":"","_ch_is_ocr_job":"","_ch_expiration_date":"2026-10-05","_ch_apply_link":"https:\/\/monmouth.joinhandshake.com\/jobs\/11387852\/share_preview"},"ch_stakeholder":[],"ch_class_year":[],"ch_job_category":[86],"ch_career_skill":[],"ch_industry":[64],"class_list":["post-91620","ch_job","type-ch_job","status-publish","hentry","ch_job_category-full-time","ch_industry-non-profit-education-community-organizations"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job\/91620","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ch_job"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=91620"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ch_stakeholder","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_stakeholder?post=91620"},{"taxonomy":"ch_class_year","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_class_year?post=91620"},{"taxonomy":"ch_job_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job_category?post=91620"},{"taxonomy":"ch_career_skill","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_career_skill?post=91620"},{"taxonomy":"ch_industry","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_industry?post=91620"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
