Here\u2019s what you can look forward to:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Discover the Operations:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Get an inside look at how a grain-handling facility operates, always keeping results and safety in mind.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Load and unload incoming and outgoing grain\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the weighing and grading of grain trucks\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Understand and manage grain storage (bins, ground piles, storage structures, etc.)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Lead and Inspire: Partner with the manager to train and guide facility employees, taking a hands-on approach in leadership.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Master Safety Protocols: Become an expert in our safety policies and procedures, ensuring the well-being of employees and the protection of company assets.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Build Customer Relationships: Develop positive relationships with our customers, delivering outstanding service to support a competitive and sustainable operation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Learn from the Best: Gain insights from experienced operations leaders in a dynamic, high-volume environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Own your Work: Contribute to daily tasks and have the opportunity to lead a project throughout the summer and showcase your experience, learning, and recommendations to key leaders.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We have multiple locations for Facility Operations Interns, you will be asked for your location preferences in the application. Current locations include:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hancock, Iowa<\/li>\n<li>Pratt, KS<\/li>\n<li>Downs, KS<\/li>\n<li>Salina, KS<\/li>\n<li>Goodland, KS<\/li>\n<li>Coolidge, KS<\/li>\n<li>Grainton\/Venango, Nebraska<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internship Program Overview:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Scoular, we are dedicated to developing young to support our customers and partners around the world.\u00a0 Scoular interns gain real life experiences while learning the ins and outs of our businesses and solutions. During the 11-week program, interns create a true impact on our business by building relationships with customers, immersing themselves with our culture and working alongside team members.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About You<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently pursuing an\u00a0associate\u00a0or bachelor&#8217;s degree\u202fand interested in operations,\u00a0logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, or agribusiness\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Action-oriented and hands-on \u2014\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0rather be on your feet and in the operation than behind a desk all day\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Mechanically inclined and curious about how equipment,\u00a0systems\u00a0and processes work\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Emerging leader with experience motivating others through student organizations, athletics, projects, work, volunteer\u00a0activities\u00a0or other team environments\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong\u00a0communicator who enjoys working with others and building relationships across teams\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment\u202fwith changing priorities and a variety of daily work\u00a0responsibilities\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and working in\u00a0confined spaces and\u00a0dusty environments while following safety procedures\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Open to living and working in rural communities and becoming part of the local team\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to Expect During the Hiring Process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Scoular, we try to keep the hiring process straightforward and communicate with you every step of the way. Most Intern and Pathways positions are filled during the fall recruiting season, with the majority of offers extended between September and November. Most candidates can expect to complete the interview process within a few weeks, though timing may vary based on the role and recruiting volume.
