You guide programs that support individuals as they face the daily realities of incarceration and the unique challenges of a structured correctional setting. Your leadership strengthens staff performance, builds teamwork, and ensures that clinical practices meet the complex needs of a prison environment. This position enables you to create meaningful and lasting impact every single day.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>DESCRIPTION OF WORK<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This position oversees and directs psychological services at SCI Mahanoy and serves as a clinical and administrative leader. The role ensures effective delivery of mental health support and supervises key program functions. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<strong>Staff Leadership:<\/strong> Supervise and guide psychological services staff in clinical and administrative tasks<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Clinical Evaluation:<\/strong> Conduct evaluations and direct the use of diagnostic techniques and treatment approaches<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Program Development:<\/strong> Manage and develop psychological programs that support inmate adjustment problems with daily living, social interaction, and work settings<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Committee Oversight:<\/strong> Serve as Chairman of the Initial Reception Committee, Suicide Clinical Review Team, Psychiatric Review Team, Mental Health Services Review Committee, and Critical Incident Stress Management Team<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Policy Integration:<\/strong> Develop and integrate mental health policies and ensure adherence to American Correctional Association (ACA) standards<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Professional Consultation:<\/strong> Provide expertise to specialized units and staff regarding treatment and case planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Schedule and Additional Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday &#8211; Friday.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Telework:\u00a0<\/strong>You will not have the option to telework in this position.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong><i><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/i>In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam\/junk folders, for these notices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING &amp; ELIGIBILITY<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); <strong>or<\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
