Service Attendant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SUMMARY OF DUTIES:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Lead Service Attendant (LSA) is primarily responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere of hospitability for Amtrak passengers that results in exceeding customer expectations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Works in a fast-paced environment onboard trains.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Coordinates work and supervises a team of food and wait staff responsible for the provision of food and beverage service to Amtrak passengers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintains cleanliness of rail car interior ensuring compliance with FDA and Amtrak Service Standards requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Functions independently while simultaneously supporting the service staff.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Utilizes superior interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively with passengers and crew to ensure employee and customer satisfaction in both ideal and off-schedule conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Responsible for safe practices and meeting sanitation standards during all segments of service from loading, stocking, preparing, serving, clean-up, and end of trip close outs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Responsible for the security, sale, safe handling and accounting of food and beverage products.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Strictly complies with cash and credit transaction handling procedures and protects Amtrak funds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Adheres to uniform and grooming requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Prepares associated paperwork.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Utilizes a cash register or similar point of sale device and follows established accounting procedures\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have some experience in a customer service or similar public contact role exhibiting responsibility, initiative, physical coordination, problem-solving, creativity, and leadership characteristics.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Work experience must demonstrate strong, clear and effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and a customer-friendly demeanor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have satisfactory attendance and safe work record.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 High school diploma or GED Required.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must be at least 21 years of age upon completion of classroom training (due to service of alcoholic beverages).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be able to lift 50lbs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be able to work while standing for long periods of time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be able to work a variety of hours and days off, including up to six to eight days away from home crew base.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrate a friendly, outgoing, and courteous disposition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have prior satisfactory work
