The intern will work alongside STC&#8217;s Systems Administrator to support users, maintain computer systems, assist with security and compliance activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and document IT processes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist the Systems Administrator with daily administration and maintenance of STC&#8217;s IT environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows endpoint devices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including support in Microsoft Entra ID\/Azure AD, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assist with new employee onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, equipment setup, permissions, and device configuration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Provide Tier 1 technical support to employees experiencing IT related issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Maintain accurate inventories of laptops, systems, software, licenses, and other IT assets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Help maintain technical documentation, system configurations, network diagrams, procedures, and IT standard operating procedures.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assist with cybersecurity and compliance activities, including documentation and evidence collection related to organizational security requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Assist with reviewing security logs and system alerts under the direction of the Systems Administrator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Research new technologies, security tools, and system administration best practices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Perform other IT and cybersecurity-related duties as assigned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and computer hardware.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Interest in systems administration, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ability to learn new technologies quickly.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Good written and verbal communication skills.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strong attention to detail and ability to document technical work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work independently while also collaborating with technical staff and end users.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Helpful Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft 365 administration\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Azure or Entra ID\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Intune\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Defender\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Active Directory\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Windows desktop and server administration\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PowerShell\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cisco networking or VPN technologies\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Endpoint management tools\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vulnerability management tools\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Backup and recovery systems\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Virtual machines or virtualization\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Linux\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cybersecurity frameworks or compliance requirements such as NIST SP 800-171 or
