{"id":71475,"date":"2026-08-28T12:01:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-28T12:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/it-engineer\/"},"modified":"2026-08-28T08:29:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-28T12:29:31","slug":"it-engineer","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/it-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"IT Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are hiring an IT Support Engineer to oversee the <strong>daily IT operations<\/strong> at our <strong>United States site.<\/strong> You will ensure the office technology runs efficiently by managing system upgrades, performing hardware maintenance, and supporting end-users through our internal help desk.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daily IT Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor and maintain the stability of the US site\u2019s IT infrastructure;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure system security, backups, and network connectivity are functioning properly on a day-to-day basis;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hardware &amp; Software Maintenance &amp; Updates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install, configure, and <strong>update<\/strong> software applications to keep systems current;<\/li>\n<li>Perform regular <strong>maintenance<\/strong> on all hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers;<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate repairs or replacements;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Help Desk &amp; User Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the first point of contact for the US site <strong>help desk<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Respond to employee technical issues via email, phone, or in-person;<\/li>\n<li>Provide hands-on support to resolve IT tickets quickly to minimize downtime;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree in IT, or Software, or related majors;<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in IT support or system administration;<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and software updates;<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in a help desk environment;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and manage the IT needs of a remote site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $90,000.
