{"id":64652,"date":"2026-05-28T17:03:18","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T17:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/postdoctoral-research-fellow-2\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T08:27:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T12:27:39","slug":"postdoctoral-research-fellow-2","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/postdoctoral-research-fellow-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Postdoctoral Research Fellow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Pathology at\u00a0Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital\/Harvard Medical School<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Postdoctoral position available to study mechanisms of response to\u00a0immune checkpoint inhibitors in kidney cancer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors (e.g. anti-PD-1\/PD-L1 agents) has demonstrated clinical efficacy in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC). Unfortunately, only a subset of mRCC patients responds to these agents. To guide further clinical development of immune checkpoint inhibitors in kidney cancer, we aim to 1) develop and validate tissue-based predictors of drug response using both genomics approaches and in situ analyses; 2) understand the mechanism of action of PD-1\/PD-L1 blockade to facilitate the development of highly active combination regimens.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong>We are seeking a highly motivated applicant with an M.D. or M.D.\/Ph.D. with formal training in Anatomic Pathology (at least 1 year in residency program) and laboratory experience in pathology and\/or molecular biology. Background in bioinformatics\/computational biology is desirable. <i>Excellent written<\/i> and oral communication <i>skills<\/i>are required.
