{"id":63041,"date":"2026-07-30T18:40:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T18:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/after-school-clubs-facilitator\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T20:23:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T00:23:01","slug":"after-school-clubs-facilitator","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/after-school-clubs-facilitator\/","title":{"rendered":"After-School Clubs Facilitator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are also hiring for this position in our Modesto office.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) After-School Programming team, the incumbent will play a key role in preparing and delivering Girl Scouts After-School Club programming to elementary-age school girls.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares and delivers Girl Scouts After-School Clubs programming in after-school settings at assigned locations throughout the 18 county Council area.<\/li>\n<li>Attend all facilitator trainings and weekly meetings as scheduled.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and update accurate online and physical records. May include (but not be limited to): attendance records (sign-in and sign-out sheets), behavior management documentation, registration forms, session overviews, and other online documentation as required.<\/li>\n<li>Act as a strong role model for participants, with an emphasis on developing self-confidence and social-emotional skills, using their voices for positive change, and making the world a better place through volunteerism.<\/li>\n<li>Promote inclusivity by accepting girls from all racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, age and ability levels.<\/li>\n<li>Follow Girl Scout health, safety, and program standards and personnel policies.<\/li>\n<li>Work cooperatively within a team environment (that includes Girl Scouts After-School Clubs staff and other facilitators).<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with parents\/guardians, encouraging them to become actively involved with the Girl Scouts program.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate proactively with after-school program staff about program plans to build awareness and create buy-in.<\/li>\n<li>Address any behavior problems by employing appropriate measures.<\/li>\n<li>Work with a different group each day and be prepared to use a personal vehicle to travel to a different school site daily.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant work or education, including experience working with youth.<\/li>\n<li>Preferred, not required: Bachelor\u2019s degree, <strong>OR<\/strong> complete minimum child development credits (12), <strong>OR<\/strong>\u00a0meet the state instructional aide requirements <strong>AND<\/strong> pass the instructional aide exam. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Minimum age of 18 years old.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with children in at-risk environments.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a commitment to recognize and respect the many forms of diversity.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated good judgment, flexibility, enthusiasm, and patience.<\/li>\n<li>Bilingual skills a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Have reliable form of transportation; minimum one year of driving experience; good driving record; proof of insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Current First Aid\/CPR certification preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to lift and carry 25 pounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>WORK HOUR\/TRAVEL<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required.<\/li>\n<li>Hours covered 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (between team)<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work many evenings and weekends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>OTHER WORKING CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with a staff regional team to assist each other in reaching department goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_ch_employer_id":"63038","_ch_external_id":"11257127","_ch_location_state":"","_ch_location_city":"","_ch_is_ocr_job":"","_ch_expiration_date":"2026-08-30","_ch_apply_link":"https:\/\/monmouth.joinhandshake.com\/jobs\/11257127\/share_preview"},"ch_stakeholder":[],"ch_class_year":[],"ch_job_category":[86],"ch_career_skill":[],"ch_industry":[64],"class_list":["post-63041","ch_job","type-ch_job","status-publish","hentry","ch_job_category-full-time","ch_industry-non-profit-education-community-organizations"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job\/63041","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ch_job"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=63041"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ch_stakeholder","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_stakeholder?post=63041"},{"taxonomy":"ch_class_year","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_class_year?post=63041"},{"taxonomy":"ch_job_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job_category?post=63041"},{"taxonomy":"ch_career_skill","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_career_skill?post=63041"},{"taxonomy":"ch_industry","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_industry?post=63041"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
