Our work strengthens families and fosters inclusive, supportive communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Job Summary:\u00a0As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at\u00a0Abilis, you will play a critical role in helping young children with developmental disabilities develop essential motor skills. You will work closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized therapy plans that promote growth and development in the children we serve. This role offers the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including home and community environments, providing\u00a0a holistic approach\u00a0to therapy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments for children to\u00a0identify\u00a0motor skill challenges and developmental delays.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Utilize a variety of testing tools and methods to accurately evaluate each child&#8217;s needs within the pediatric population.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Provide hands-on physical therapy services in home and community-based settings, fostering a supportive and familiar environment for children and their families.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Develop creative and effective strategies to promote gross motor skill development, tailored to each child\u2019s unique needs.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized IFSP goals and\u00a0objectives\u00a0that focus on enhancing the child\u2019s gross motor abilities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Regularly\u00a0monitor\u00a0and revise IFSP goals based on the child\u2019s progress, ensuring that therapy\u00a0remains\u00a0aligned with the child\u2019s developmental needs and family goals.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Engage in ongoing communication with team members, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Maintain detailed and\u00a0accurate\u00a0records, including case notes, progress reports, and other required documentation, in compliance with state and federal regulations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all documentation is completed\u00a0in a timely manner\u00a0and reflects the child\u2019s progress and any adjustments to the therapy plan.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Participate in team meetings, case\u00a0conferences, and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of the early intervention program.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current Connecticut license as a Registered Physical Therapist is\u00a0required.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>At least two years of experience providing pediatric physical therapy\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong background in working with children with developmental disabilities; experience in early intervention settings is highly desirable.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication\u00a0and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and team members.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team,\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0flexibility and adaptability in different settings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy, with a commitment to positively\u00a0impacting\u00a0the lives of children with developmental challenges.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Full time employees will receive: Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, free life insurance, 401k profit share, tuition\u00a0assistance\u00a0program,\u00a0awards\u00a0and recognition including team of the season, on the spot awards, and anniversary gifts.
