Flexible work schedule in accordance with County of Moore Personnel Policy is permitted for this position. Work is performed under the regular supervision of an Income Maintenance Supervisor II.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\u2022Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public social service organizations<br \/>\u2022Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the processing and\/or review of applications for income maintenance programs<br \/>\u2022Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions<br \/>\u2022Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, orally and in writing<br \/>\u2022Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, and the general public<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\u2022High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution and one (1) year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>***Applications for IMC I \u201cwork against\u201d will be considered if no qualified IMC II applicants are available. Starting salary for IMC I \u201cwork against\u201d is $43,960.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Educational Requirements for IMC I are:<br \/>\u2022Associate Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum OR<br \/>\u2022High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data, and\/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks with at least one (1) year of such experience being in an income maintenance program OR<br \/>\u2022High School Diploma or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, the gathering and compiling of data, the analysis of data, and\/or the performance of mathematical or legal tasks OR<br \/>\u2022Bachelor\u2019s Degree from an appropriately accredited institution OR<br \/>\u2022An equivalent combination of training and experience<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\u2022Ability to obtain \u201cIntroduction to Human Services Phase I and Phase II\u201d classes preferred<br \/>\u2022Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver\u2019s License<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and\/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities;
