In this rewarding role, you will provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use emergencies. Working closely with hospitals, first responders, community partners, and internal clinical teams, you will play a vital role in helping individuals access the care and support they need when it matters most.<\/p>\n<p>This position is available in either our St. Johnsbury or Newport office and includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.<\/p>\n<p>Primary Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments, risk evaluations, and determine the appropriate level of care.<br \/>\u2022 Provide crisis intervention, counseling, safety planning, and follow-up services.<br \/>\u2022 Complete telephone crisis screenings and provide clinical guidance to individuals, families, and community partners.<br \/>\u2022 Coordinate care with hospitals, medical providers, law enforcement, schools, and community agencies.<br \/>\u2022 Complete court-ordered screenings and provide documentation for legal proceedings as needed.<br \/>\u2022 Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and federal standards.<br \/>\u2022 Participate in multidisciplinary clinical team meetings and treatment planning.<br \/>\u2022 Provide consultation and education to community organizations, schools, and healthcare partners.<br \/>\u2022 Participate in the agency&#8217;s mandatory after-hours crisis rotation, including a minimum of two on-call shifts per month.<br \/>\u2022 Assist with quality improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of Emergency Services protocols.<\/p>\n<p>Position Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a recognized mental health field with required coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, or related social sciences.<br \/>\u2022 One or more years of crisis intervention, psychiatric assessment, or emergency behavioral health experience preferred.<br \/>\u2022 Experience working in mental health, substance use treatment, developmental services, or social services preferred.<br \/>\u2022 Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills.<br \/>\u2022 Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.<br \/>\u2022 Eligibility for professional licensure (LICSW, LCMHC, Psychologist, Psychiatric APRN, CAC\/CADC, or similar) preferred.<br \/>\u2022 Ability to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) status within six months, when applicable.<br \/>\u2022 Valid driver&#8217;s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance required.<\/p>\n<p>Salary &amp; Benefits<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Pay Range: $24.13\u2013$29.49 per hour.<br \/>\u2022 Tuition reimbursement, continuing education support, and student loan repayment opportunities.<br \/>\u2022 Comprehensive health and dental insurance.<br \/>\u2022 403(b) retirement plan with agency contribution and employer match.<br \/>\u2022 Generous paid time off, 12 sick days, and 12 paid holidays.<br \/>\u2022 Outstanding employee wellness program.<br \/>\u2022 Exceptional benefits package including low-cost medical and dental coverage, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, AFLAC, employee assistance program, and additional voluntary benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Join a team dedicated to providing hope, compassion, and life-saving support when individuals and families need it most.
