{"id":57478,"date":"2026-07-15T21:15:04","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T21:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/licensed-professional-clinical-counselor\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T08:28:34","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T12:28:34","slug":"licensed-professional-clinical-counselor","status":"publish","type":"ch_job","link":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/job\/licensed-professional-clinical-counselor\/","title":{"rendered":"Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We invite you to join our professional team!<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero<\/strong> is a secure public sector hospital providing inpatient forensic services for mentally ill adult males who are court committed throughout the State of California.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor<\/strong> will be directed by the Senior Psychologist Supervisor in the Department of Psychology at the Department of State Hospitals \u2013 Atascadero (ASH).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Eligible applicants MUST possess a valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with the treatment team.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct assessments and\/or screening.<\/li>\n<li>Complete required documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate individual and group therapy.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with treatment team to provide critical observations about patients.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the development, implementation, and adherence to behavioral plans and treatment plans, including the competent use of electronic systems used for treatment planning and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Provide clinical supervision as needed\/required by the Board of Behavioral Science for unlicensed professional clinical counselors.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in meetings, committees, and conferences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong> Possession of a <i><strong>master&#8217;s or doctoral degree <\/strong><\/i>in counseling or psychotherapy in content and meets the requirements stipulated in Business and Professional Code 4999.32.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AND <\/strong>Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_ch_employer_id":"51611","_ch_external_id":"11212027","_ch_location_state":"","_ch_location_city":"","_ch_is_ocr_job":"","_ch_expiration_date":"2026-08-15","_ch_apply_link":"https:\/\/monmouth.joinhandshake.com\/jobs\/11212027\/share_preview"},"ch_stakeholder":[],"ch_class_year":[],"ch_job_category":[86],"ch_career_skill":[],"ch_industry":[62],"class_list":["post-57478","ch_job","type-ch_job","status-publish","hentry","ch_job_category-full-time","ch_industry-healthcare-medicine-wellness"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job\/57478","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ch_job"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=57478"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ch_stakeholder","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_stakeholder?post=57478"},{"taxonomy":"ch_class_year","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_class_year?post=57478"},{"taxonomy":"ch_job_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_job_category?post=57478"},{"taxonomy":"ch_career_skill","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_career_skill?post=57478"},{"taxonomy":"ch_industry","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/career-development\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ch_industry?post=57478"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
