Polysomnographic Technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Polysomnographic Technologist to join our talent team in this highly impactful role. What you will do:Performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations.<\/p>\n

Understanding the testing equipment, including it\u2019s structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient and basic maintenance\/troubleshooting procedures.<\/p>\n

Monitor and document appropriately in medical record per facility guidelines.<\/p>\n

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and accreditation.<\/p>\n

Possess a knowledge and understanding of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.<\/p>\n

Educating patients with prescribed therapies and sleep testing and following up as needed.<\/p>\n

Acquire the ability to work with all age groups and those with growth and developmental needs of unique client populations.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

Graduate of an accredited program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or Respiratory Technology.<\/p>\n

Possess basic knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, with the skill to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for patient care.<\/p>\n

Eligible to register with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Will consider eligibility to register with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as well. Possess or obtain registry as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within two years of the date of hire into position.<\/p>\n

Working in North Dakota (ND), current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required. Obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEU) each year to maintain licensure.<\/p>\n

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.<\/p>\n
