We are proud to offer a <strong>contract\u00a0<\/strong>opportunity to work as a <strong>Laboratory Technician<\/strong>\u00a0located in <strong>Piedmont, SC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shift:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a012hr rotating swing shift + OT (DuPont schedule)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pay:\u00a0<\/strong>$25\/hr-$28\/hr\u00a0(dependent on experience)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview and Responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Provide testing support for the Piedmont manufacturing facilities, Product Development, and the Rock Hill manufacturing facilities as needed (raw materials, non-routine testing, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Test and\/or approve all incoming raw materials for Piedmont and Rock Hill plants.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Troubleshoot test equipment problems\/identify root cause\/corrective actions with and without assistance.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Utilize SPC to analyze control sample data and aid in troubleshooting testing problems to ensure accuracy of test results.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Adhere to and understand established Fibers Test Methods and Standard Operating Procedures when performing tests\/tasks unless authorized by Quality Manager or designee.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Performs test using appropriate equipment such as tensile testing equipment, gas chromatography, Accelerated Solvent Extractor (ASE) and other miscellaneous test equipment.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Notify appropriate personnel whenever testing issues occur which prevent internal customers from receiving their data in a timely manner (Lab Technical Support, QA Manager, manufacturing personnel).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Acquire training as needed to support testing needs for plant (LIMS, SAP, new\/revised test methods, new lab equipment, upgrade of lab skills, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Maintain lab equipment by performing identified preventative maintenance, calibrations, and cleaning of equipment.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Assures documentation is accurate and up-to-date (equipment logs, test worksheets, LIMS, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Perform weekly calibrations of test equipment (spectrophotometers, balances).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 High School Diploma or GED<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 Stable work history<br \/>Preferred &#8211; Two year \/ Associate\u2019s technical degree in industrial lab technology \/ equivalent in science related field OR four years verifiable on-the-job lab experience in industrial laboratory technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must-have skills\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>The Lab Technician safely and effectively performs the essential functions of the position to test the quality of aerospace grade carbon fiber manufactured at CCF, while continuously improving the process of creating it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Possesses and can effectively utilize the appropriate level of mechanical and industrial aptitude, and computer literacy.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Contributes to continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 Has the ability to learn work skills and processes quickly &#8211;
