If you\u2019re looking for a rewarding position that respects work-life balance, North Shore Health is the Right Choice for you.<\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, a Licensed Practical\u00a0Nurse\/Licensed Vocational Nurse performs as a licensed care giver and assumes responsibility and\u00a0accountability for assigned residents\/patients for a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through\u00a0coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the resident\u2019s\/patient\u2019s plan of care.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The LPN\/LVN\u00a0adheres to the standards of care for the area, manages the environment to maintain resident\/patient safety,\u00a0and supervises the resident\/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants. Follows all Center\u00a0policies and procedures. Performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Required Education and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Licensed in the State as an LPN<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have and maintain current CPR certification<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays,\u00a0medication cart, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Able to calculate drug dosage<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Meets all health requirements imposed by law<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community\u00a0members, volunteers and other center staff<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
