IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Laboratory Analyst position at its facility in Decatur, AL.<\/p>\n
Ideal candidates will possess the following:<\/p>\n
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (required)
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Proficiency with data entry and computer applications
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong attention to detail
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong written and verbal communication skills
– \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory<\/p>\n
The Laboratory Analyst duties include: analysis of food samples for pathogens via PCR and immunoassay, various microbe enumerations, data entry, laboratory reporting, quality control, and media preparation.<\/p>\n
This is a full-time position and is eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period. The schedule for this position is 5:30pm to 5:30am, on a rotating shift basis: the first week will be Monday-Tuesday and Friday-Sunday; the second week will be Wednesday-Thursday. \u00a0<\/p>\n
