THEATRE LIGHTING AND SOUND INTERN- FALL 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

I.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0POSITION OBJECTIVES: To provide excellent assistance in the areas of Lighting and Sound design and implementation for ECCT productions, rentals and special events. To assist with day to day facilities operations and maintenance for ECCT and The Oxford. To be an active member of the Production Staff, assisting in the areas of painting and\/or properties as capable.<\/p>\n

II.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:<\/p>\n

Recruited by:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Executive Director<\/p>\n

Salary\/Benefits:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0$8000 for 16 weeks plus free housing<\/p>\n

Schedule:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0August 31, 2026- December 20, 2026<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full time salaried position; schedule will flex between daytime, evening and weekend hours depending on ECCT production schedule<\/p>\n

III.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:<\/p>\n

Reports to:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Technical Director<\/p>\n

\u00a0Supervises:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Community volunteers<\/p>\n

\u00a0Coordinates with:\u00a0Volunteer crew heads<\/p>\n

IV.\u00a0\u00a0POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Working toward BA\/BS in Technical Theatre, Lighting or Sound Design, Tech Ed or related field desired or comparable experience in the field<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0Solid knowledge of theatrical lighting design and implementation<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Solid Knowledge of sound reproduction and design<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of special effects software and design<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of scenic construction and painting<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of theatrical style, conventions and terminology<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong oral communication skills<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Background in or appreciation of theatre<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated ability to recruit and work with volunteers<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to manage several projects simultaneously<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong organizational skills and highly motivated with strong work ethic<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ability to work with minimal supervision<\/p>\n

V.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND SAMPLE TASKS:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide lighting and sound design and implementation assistance for 5 ECCT Fall 2026 productions including COME FROM AWAY, PETE THE CAT, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist with scenic construction and painting for productions and special events as capable<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Supervise volunteers on work nights<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Serve on the running crew for shows<\/p>\n
