Your work will support informed decisions about investments in UC ANR facilities and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>This position provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in capital budgeting, project financial tracking, infrastructure planning, document preparation, and cross-functional coordination while working with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.<\/p>\n<p>The position requires working in the Oakland office at least one day per week, with the opportunity to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Work hours may be scheduled around academic commitments.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Maintain and review capital project financial and planning data, including project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and funding sources. (40%)<br \/>\u2022 Assist with updates to the annual capital spending plan and prepare project summaries, schedules, and tracking reports. (25%)<br \/>\u2022 Prepare, format, and organize capital outlay documents, project planning materials, funding requests, and presentation materials. (20%)<br \/>\u2022 Coordinate with internal units to collect project updates, document long-range capital needs, participate in team meetings, and support related administrative tasks. (15%)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be enrolled or accepted at an accredited community college, college, or university.<br \/>\u2022 Maintain at least a half-time course load of six units and provide proof of student status.<br \/>\u2022 Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.<br \/>\u2022 Be comfortable working with budgets, financial data, and detailed project information.<br \/>\u2022 Be analytical, organized, and attentive to detail.<br \/>\u2022 Be able to manage information for multiple projects and track deadlines and follow-up items.<br \/>\u2022 Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>\u2022 Be able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.<br \/>\u2022 Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving skills.<br \/>\u2022 Be available to work in the Oakland office at least one day per week.<\/p>\n<p>Experience with project tracking systems, Power BI, Tableau, databases, or financial reporting tools is preferred but not required.
