WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group\u2019<\/strong>s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high-impact learning experience at the heart of global development. Participants gain hands-on experience in a diverse and dynamic environment, contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, and connect with international professionals working to end poverty on a livable planet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This track is specifically designed for neurodivergent candidates.<\/u><\/strong> Interns are placed across a wide range of WBG departments and units, from economics and finance to technology, communications, operations, and beyond. The program is open to candidates from any academic or professional background whose discipline aligns with the hosting team’s work.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As part of this track, interns will receive virtual mentoring and coaching support from BroadFutures on neurodiversity-specific supports and strategies to improve transferable skills and help interns gain confidence for their future careers.\u00a0

Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>
\u00a0<\/p>\n

Interns will engage in meaningful projects aligned with their skills, academic background, and professional interests. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Research and Analysis: Conduct research on development topics, policies, and projects; summarize findings in reports, presentations, or briefing notes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Data Collection and Management: Collect, clean, and analyze data to support ongoing projects, evaluations, or reports; maintain accurate records and databases.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Project Support: Assist teams in planning, monitoring, and implementing initiatives; support coordination with internal and external stakeholders.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Communication and Outreach: Draft communication materials such as newsletters, social media content, and internal updates; assist in preparing materials for workshops, webinars, and events.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Knowledge Management: Document lessons learned, best practices, and project updates; contribute to knowledge-sharing platforms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Administrative Support: Provide logistical support for meetings, events, and reporting as needed, while ensuring smooth project operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Selection Criteria<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Candidates must identify as a neurodivergent person (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, or other neurodivergent conditions).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of, an undergraduate or postgraduate (master\u2019s\/PhD) program\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group\u2019s mission<\/p>\n

\u2022Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Effective written and verbal communication skills\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Ability to work effectively in diverse, team-based environments\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2022Proficiency in English; additional languages may be required depending on the role\u00a0<\/p>\n
